The Shuaa Material's Human Skin preset sets up subsurface skin: a red-led scatter, a skin colour that varies across the surface, and procedural roughness, bump and sheen built from nodes in the empty channels.

Subsurface, Subsurface Color, Scatter Distance and Scatter Tint accept nodes evaluated at each hit (Noise, Falloff, Curvature and more), like the other channels.

Shuaa menu > Shuaa Help, and the Live Viewer's Help > Visit Shuaa Help, open the Support page in your browser; Help > Check for Updates opens this update log.

A node plugged into a channel that cannot evaluate it now shows a note under that channel.

Playing or scrubbing the timeline shows Cloner animation, deformers such as Bend and keyed colours frame by frame, instead of waiting for the whole scene to be read again.

Moving a light, or changing its brightness, colour or power, updates the picture without reading the whole scene again. A light dragged in the viewport follows the hand.

Orbiting the camera and switching to another camera update the Live Viewer at once.

Changing a deformer or a Cloner keeps Cinema 4D responsive while the picture follows.

The Beta comes as two zips, one for Cinema 4D 2024 and one for Cinema 4D 2026, each with its own README.txt.

From 24 January 2027 Shuaa reminds you; after 31 January it keeps rendering for 3 days, until 3 February 2027. A newer build may carry a later date. The end date never changes your scenes.

In some scenes with VDB volumes or hair, timeline playback can pause on some frames.

Dragging the Sky's Sun intensity is slower than the other Sky edits.

The Live Viewer takes a few seconds to show the first picture of a scene with millions of polygons.
